Changing Gracefully; “Udana” Blog

Good morning, friends.

By now, I’m sure you have noticed that the face of the blog has changed a little bit. I think I was inspired to make the change as a result of changes at home. I may make other minor changes to the site’s arrangement, but I don’t intend to switch themes again for a while (maybe it’ll be a yearly ritual, who knows).

As for things at home, we’ll be moving in 13 days, and I will share more about that later. Rest assured, it seems like a good thing for the most part, and I think we’re all looking forward to it here.

Additionally, after finding that my sisters use Tumblr, I’ve also decided to open an account there. Being that I then had an account, I figured I should use use the site for something, so Udana was born. On Udana, named after the Pali Cannon’s collection of inspired utterances, I think I will make a practice of posting daily Dhamma quotes, video clips, or other short inspirations which I may not have much to say about initially but still want to share with others. I welcome you to check the site out at your leisure, and I will make sure it is added to the About Hickersonia page.

This blog will continue to serve in it’s capacity as my main internet outlet. I’ve made a lot of friends on WordPress and don’t really want to feel like I’m starting over again — that would just be silly!

I hope you are all well, friends. I will write again soon.

  1. Hello my friend :-). I moved 2 days ago, so I truly understand what you mean! Life has been hectic, hence I haven’t been around much. It’s nice to be back :-).

    Blessings,
    Meg

    1. I remember when you first posted about having to move and it was the next day when I realized we were going to move. “What a small world,” I thought…

I hope your move has gone well and that you are finding peace in your new surroundings. Be well!
